CONTEMPLATIONS

A lot of people say that I’m weirdly optimistic, or unusually positive. Well, they’re not so far off. I am weird, yeah. But I don’t think—actually, I know—that they don’t understand it. Or me. I tend to trust people more than I should, which usually ends up hurting me in the end. But I believe that everyone has a good side, its just a matter of how they decide to portray it. Actions speak louder than words. I’d like to think I’m a good person, but that’s getting harder and harder to do. Ryan says I expect too much of him, which I do and that is my fault, but I expect too much of myself. Kind of hard to live up to your own self-imag

He’s cleaning again. Not washing this time, but organizing. The musty books in the library, the ones with leather covers and old text filled with words about legends and fantasies and myths that he’s either lived through or been around enough to know don’t exist…alphabetizing and categorizing and colorizing…he’s been doing it for two days. Everything in the house. When he’s not working, he’s cleaning. He wonders if anyone’s noticed, then wonders why he cares.

Done. He goes downstairs, glances at the clock, sees it’s past four in the morning. He hasn’t been sleeping at night. Not that he sleeps much anyway. Sle Gates
